Learn Piano Still Life 8"x8" Original Painting SOLD
This was created by Shannon Crandall using lots of layers of vibrant acrylic paint, collaged paper and oil pastels. Shannon loves to play with mixed media materials. She hand paints most of the paper that she uses for collage. Each painting is a story told by the layers and marks. Shannon is a NY artist who is self taught. She loves to paint with no end idea in mind. Many times she starts a piece by finger painting and along the way adds collage, some charcoal or oil pastels. Her only rule is to have fun and enjoy the process. This painting is a representation of the beautiful flowers and foliage Shannon sees through her studio windows. This mixed media painting is on a gallery wrapped canvas. It has paper from the early 1900's collaged on it. The words "Learn Piano" came of out a ladies home journal from 1916. The lovely jewel tones (red, blue green) play in the background while the pitcher boasts a patchwork design. The edges are painted black and it is wired and ready to hang. A great piece to add to your collection!
Although the original painting has sold there are matted prints available of this painting in a finished size of 12"x12" at a price of $26 each. Please contact me if you'd like to order.
