The image above was taken during the Wellness & Art Workshop in Georgia this past week where I taught intuitive mixed media art classes.
Here is a simple art exercise that anyone can do to begin that mind body connection.
Collage your Appreciation
Using old magazines, books, newspaper or your own doodles
Cut out phrases, pictures and words of things you are grateful for in your life.
Next paste them onto a sketch book page or piece of paper using collage or elmers glue.
Once all images are dry continue to write or doodle about things you are grateful for and add some color using crayons, colored pencils, paints or pastels. Be sure to pick colors that correlate with how you are feeling.
Keep this gratitude collage some place you can see it for the next couple of days...like on a magnet board, pin board, or refrigerator.
Questions to ask yourself while doing this exercise
How am I feeling right now?
Am I connected to the present moment or am I thinking of a million other things I could be doing?
